    Thornblade Meet TOMORROW

Tomorrow is our last HOME meet against Thornblade.

    Meet Set Up:

We will be setting up for the meet during morning practice, 9-11am.  We can use all the help that we can get!  The more people who help, the quicker we can get it done, and you can count it as your daily workout!

We will be having an after meet GLO Party!  Remember we can not start the party until the deck has been cleaned and put back together.

Also, don't forget your swim buddies!  Even if you don't have time to get to the store, you can always grab a snack from concessions.  If you aren't going to be at the meet then ask a friend to give your buddy a treat.

    Meet starts at 5

    Warm ups:

    • 10 and under- 3:45-4:00
    • 11 and up- 4:00-4:15

    Drop Off:

Please drop off your swimmers in the Briar Creek cul-de-sac. Once the swimmer has been dropped off, you may park anywhere in the neighborhood where there is not a sign saying “no parking” or across the street at Covenant Church. Please only park in designated parking spaces.  There will be a sherriff’s deputy available at some times to assist with crossing Old Spartanburg Rd.

    Concessions:

Concessions will be sold for cash and cards. We will also have a snow cone truck there.

    Seating:

There will be no chairs allowed on deck this year. Families can set up tents and chairs in the parking lot. We have designated areas for our team and the away team. Please look over the attached parking lot diagram to know where you can set up. Then you can come on deck to watch your swimmer(s). This will allow for us to have more room on deck and enjoy watching the races.

    Heat Sheets:

I have attached the heat sheet. We will NOT be selling them tomorrow. Feel free to print it or use the Swimtopia App. Some heats have been combined as noted on the heat sheet, but changes will inevitably happen tomorrow so expect some changes.

    Bad Weather Plan:

Very heavy rain—In case of heavy rain, swimmers will be asked to leave their tent area. They may come in the clubhouse, but space is limited. They may also go to their cars with parents

Severe weather—In the event of severe weather, all spectators and swimmers should return to their cars. We will be monitoring with the National Weather Service. It is at the lifeguards and Meet Referee discretion whether to stop the meet or not. The Meet Referee, a lifeguard, Meet Director, and SAIL Reps from each team will decide when the meet shall resume.

    Alcohol:

As part of the SAIL organization by-laws, no alcohol is permitted during SAIL sponsored events.
