As coaches work with children during the first week, they will make necessary changes to groups so that swimmers are with those of similar ability.

Swimmers and siblings of swimmers are not allowed to free swim in the pool or baby pool until the pool is officially opened for the day. A lifeguard must be on duty.

ATTENTION GUPPY PARENTS:

Most of our SCR coaches will give private lessons throughout the summer. Please see one of them at the pool to inquire and schedule.

Guppy Meets

The 2026 Guppy swim season will include three meets, which will be held on May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th.

Volunteer opportunities will be available for parents during the guppy swim meet. These meets last approximately one hour and typically start at 9:00 AM. Participating guppies will receive a light snack, usually a juice box or popsicle, at the completion of the meet.

Please know the meets are not mandatory. Although your swimmer will be timed, the swimmers will not be ranked. The events are usually one lap (25 yards) with a kickboard, one lap of freestyle, and one lap of backstroke. Coaches and volunteers will be in the water to assist guppies when necessary. All guppies receive a ribbon for each event swam during a meet. Again, the guppy can swim as many or as few events as wanted.
